I think because it focuses more on depth, it's also exceptionally flexible. Much more flexible than typical toys. You can easily fold it in half. So this is a drawback for some and a plus for others.

As for realism, I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10. Overall, it's quite realistic, with a very close feel, and the textures and colors are very lifelike. The suction cups also work well. I washed it with soap and hot water without any problems.
